◆ Zero Twilio delay · everyone gets guest messages

WhatsApp Web · Multi-Device.

One WhatsApp Business account · up to 4 devices linked · Chrissy + trusted staff (Marius etc.) all see the same conversations and can reply. No API approval wait. Works today.

Open WhatsApp Web
◆ Opens in a new tab · scan the QR code from Chrissy's phone once · stays signed in

1Chrissy — the master phone

◆ One-time setup · takes 5 minutes

Chrissy's WhatsApp Business phone is the master. Everyone else is a "linked device" and shows up in the same conversations. Chrissy retains full control — she can revoke any device at any time from her phone.

  1. 1
Open WhatsApp Business on Chrissy's phone

The regular WhatsApp Business app · not personal WhatsApp · not any Meta browser app.

  2. 2
    Settings → Linked devices

On Android: Settings icon (bottom right) → Linked devices. On iPhone: Settings tab (bottom right) → Linked devices.

  3. 3
    Tap "Link a device"

WhatsApp shows a QR scanner. Chrissy points it at whatever browser wants to link (her own laptop, Marius's laptop, etc.). One scan per device.

  4. 4
Optional: turn on "Require unlock" for extra security

Anyone with Chrissy's phone can otherwise scan a new device. This step forces face/fingerprint before scanning.

2Chrissy's own laptop / iPad

◆ Chrissy's browser session
  1. 1
Click the big green "Open WhatsApp Web" button above

Opens web.whatsapp.com in a new tab.

  2. 2
Scan the QR code from Chrissy's phone

Use the "Linked devices → Link a device" flow from §1 above.

  3. 3
Tick "Keep me signed in" on the web.whatsapp.com side

Stays logged in on that laptop indefinitely · no need to re-scan every session.

  4. 4
Add web.whatsapp.com to your home screen

On desktop: bookmark it. On tablet: browser menu → "Install as app" · gives you a WhatsApp Business app icon that opens straight to the web session.

3Adding staff (Marius etc.)

◆ Up to 3 more devices · 4 total linked

◆ Trust model

Anyone Chrissy links can see + send from her business number. They see every guest conversation. Only link people she trusts to represent Wishwood in writing.

Chrissy can revoke any device from her phone instantly — Linked Devices → tap the device → "Log out". That device is dead within seconds.

  1. 1
Marius opens web.whatsapp.com on his own laptop / phone

His own browser · his own device · his own home screen.

  2. 2
Chrissy scans his QR with her phone

WhatsApp Business on Chrissy's phone → Linked devices → Link a device → scan the QR shown on Marius's browser.

  3. 3
    Marius's laptop is now linked

He sees every conversation Chrissy sees. Sends and receives as Wishwood. Notifications go to his device too.

  4. 4
Repeat for up to 2 more staff / devices

Cap is 4 linked devices total (excluding the master phone). If Chrissy needs more, use WhatsApp Business API via Twilio (still worth setting up in the background — but you don't need it to start).

◆ Things to be honest about

WhatsApp Web Multi-Device works well for a small operator. It's not the same as the full WhatsApp Business API. Specifically:

4What to do while Twilio approval catches up

◆ Belt and braces · both paths in parallel

Multi-Device works today. The Twilio Business API path is worth completing in the background so the hub AI can auto-send later. Steps to run in parallel:

  1. A
Today · Multi-Device via steps above

Chrissy, Marius, and up to 2 more devices all see Wishwood messages inside 24 hours. Zero delay.

  2. B
    Meanwhile · Twilio sender request

Fill in §5A on the credentials page · Twilio takes 1-2 weeks to approve. When approved, hub AI gets auto-send capability alongside the Multi-Device browsers.

  3. C
Later · both channels working together

Multi-Device browsers stay live for manual replies · Twilio handles automated confirmations, reminders, and check-in messages. Best of both.
