The Seal could be, act, verify, remember and reproduce — but not speak. §27+ wires the fold-rate ladder into the organism: a Seal announces its chord on any rung, recognizes kin/complementary/clash by ear, reproduces at a distance, and hears its own shadow. Same organism, now with a voice.
kin = broadly the same spectrum · complementary = each loud where the other is quiet (a fuller chord together) · clash = compete for a shared loud note without blending · distant = none of the above.
Seal A's entire deck is chunked into ladder frames, voiced (light-flashed on the lamp below), the far-side re-folds it, and the fold-signature must match exactly. Tamper any frame → the content-address catches it.
