Your DID: initialising… peer mesh: connecting…

Claim a name

Pick any human-readable label. If nobody has claimed it earlier than you, it's yours. Names end with .fall.

Your claims

Names your local DID has signed. Release publishes a revocation.

Resolve a name

Local store first, then peer gossip. Returns DID, timestamp, trust score, conflicts.

Known directory

Every name seen on the peer network with its winning DID. Click a header to sort.

Name conflicts

Names two or more DIDs have claimed. Earliest signed timestamp wins. Peer-trust bumps score.

Signed record format

Every claim/release is a signed JSON blob gossiped over the peer mesh. Anyone can verify it against the signer's DID.

{
  "name": "simon.fall",
  "did": "did:key:z6Mk…",
  "timestamp": "2026-07-06T10:00:00.000Z",
  "action": "claim",     // or "release"
  "signature": "…"        // FallID signature over `${action}|${name}|${did}|${timestamp}`
}

How resolution works

1. Local store first · 2. Gossip from FallLink peers merges in · 3. Group records by DID · 4. Drop DIDs whose latest record is a release · 5. Earliest signed timestamp among remaining active claims wins · 6. Trust score bumped by peer-trust graph presence + uncontested status.

Stack

FallID for identity + signing · FallLink for gossip · localStorage for records · MIT licensed · no server, no ICANN, no rent.
