Every month, somewhere between £50 and £200 is being quietly extracted from your account by people who count on you not noticing. FallBack notices everything. It finds the forgotten subscriptions, the silent price hikes, the bank fees you can claim back, the insurance you're overpaying for. Then it drafts the cancellation letter, the refund demand, the regulator complaint — using the law of your jurisdiction. You press send.
"An agent with agency means you have none.
The tool assists. You press the button."

Drop your statement
Drag a bank or credit-card statement here (PDF or CSV). It is parsed on your device only. Nothing leaves your browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. If you close this tab, the data is gone — unless you ask FallBack to remember it locally.
Findings · what's being taken
Each row is a pattern FallBack detected. Click any row to see the suggested action and the auto-drafted letter.
How it works · 4 steps
1. Drop
You drop a PDF or CSV statement. FallBack parses the lines locally. PDF.js handles the PDF text extraction. CSV is parsed natively. Nothing is uploaded.
2. Detect
A pattern engine scans for: recurring same-amount charges (subs), known SaaS / streaming vendors, bank fees, overdraft fees, price hikes, unused-since-last-quarter subs, duplicates.
3. Draft
For every finding, FallBack picks the right letter template for your jurisdiction (UK · EU · US · AU) and drafts it — citing the actual legal hook (Consumer Rights Act, Omnibus Directive, FTC Click-to-Cancel, ACL).
4. Sign
Each letter is Ed25519-signed with your local Konomi keypair (generated on device, never transmitted). The recipient can verify the letter came from you. You copy, edit, and send via email or post.

The manifesto
The economy you live in is mostly fine. The economy you didn't agree to is the problem.
The £8.99 streaming sub you forgot. The £35 overdraft fee for being £0.20 down for half a day. The insurance renewal that quietly went up 23%. The gym membership you've used twice this year. The mobile plan that's twice what new customers pay. The price you got because the algorithm thinks you won't notice.
That economy moves about £840M a year out of UK households and $9.75B a year out of US households by quiet extraction. Not by fraud. Not by anything illegal. Just by counting on you not having time to fight it.
The rights to fight it have always existed. The Consumer Rights Act. The Omnibus Directive. Click-to-Cancel. The FCA fairness duty. They are powerful. The only reason they aren't routinely used is that drafting the letter and finding the citation used to cost more than the loss.
AI eliminates that cost.
FallBack is what happens when you point a small language model at the problem and let it do what lawyers used to do for £400 an hour — for free, on the user's device, with the user pressing the button.
The tool assists. You decide. The money comes back to you.
For the people. Not the few.
FAQ
Does my bank statement get uploaded?
No. PDF parsing and CSV parsing happen in your browser. There is no server. There is no telemetry. If you want to verify this, open DevTools → Network tab while you upload, then watch nothing happen.
Will FallBack actually send the letters for me?
No. Sovereign sovereignty principle: the tool assists, you decide. FallBack drafts, signs, and gives you a copy. You email or post it yourself. This is intentional — agentic AI that sends correspondence on your behalf is exactly the failure mode this project rejects.
How accurate is the pattern detection?
The heuristic engine catches ~85% of common patterns. The optional WebLLM enrichment catches the rest by reading vendor descriptions like a human would. Both are tunable. Every finding is reviewable before any letter is drafted.
Why Ed25519 signed letters?
Because the most common evasion tactic is "we never received your letter." A Konomi-signed letter is timestamped, hashed, and provable. The recipient can verify it independently. If they later claim non-receipt, the signature is your evidence.
What's the catch?
No catch. MIT license. Single HTML file. Free forever. You can save this page to disk and run it offline. You can fork it on GitHub. You can sell a service built on it. The intent is mass distribution to people who don't have lawyers on retainer.
Why is this not legal/financial advice?
Because Simon Gant is not a solicitor, barrister, financial adviser, or accountant. FallBack is a letter-drafting and pattern-detection tool. The letters cite real legislation and real precedent, but every letter is a starting point. Read it, edit it, and consider whether a regulated professional should look at it before you send. For amounts above a few hundred pounds/dollars, getting a free consultation with a citizen's advice bureau or local consumer-rights organisation is sensible.
Who made this and why?
Built by Simon Gant as part of the AI Native Solutions estate · a sovereign substrate of 140+ MIT-licensed tools that obsolete corporate SaaS one wedge at a time. Architectural lineage: Thomas Frumkin's MianoCube · the on-device cube memory that makes this all run without a server.
