# ◊ Sovereign Cognitive Substrate · v1.0

**The factory of factories was the prototype. The substrate is the destination.**

A 7-product frontier roadmap that productises Simon Gant's full sovereign estate as an API + SDK + MCP layer. Built on what's already real, verified, and live.

## What this is

A cognitive substrate is the layer underneath your business logic that **thinks, researches, verifies, and builds** for you. The seven products defined here transform Simon's estate (80 sovereign HTML tools + 10 APIs + the deep-research workflow + CASSIE's verified 15,700× speedup + the Claude-in-Claude recursion + the Konomi audit chain) into a coherent commercial offering.

Each product stands alone. Together they compose. The flagship is `fall-substrate` — a single endpoint that goes from **research question to live sovereign tool** in one pipeline.

This is above-and-beyond the factory of factories because fallcore-factory generates tools from a spec. Fall-substrate generates the spec FROM RESEARCH, then generates the tool from the spec, then verifies the result against the original research, then ships it. End-to-end.

---

## What makes the substrate genuinely novel

Anyone can rent GPUs. Anyone can call the Claude API. Anyone can ship a single HTML file. **Nobody else has the composition**:

```
1. CASSIE v20.2-RCNESTED       · 15,700× empirical ESS collapse
                                  · verified on synthetic targets
                                  · applies to any high-dim search
2. Recursive subagent trees     · cassie-oracle-3 pattern
                                  · 7-prime fan-out × 3 depth = 343 streams
                                  · runs on Anthropic compute (subscription)
                                  · autonomous cycles every 30min
3. Konomi Ed25519 audit chain   · across 80 tools
                                  · prevHash + reasoning + docHash + configVersion
                                  · every action signed · provenance native
4. fall-signal mesh              · BroadcastChannel('fall-signal')
                                  · estate-wide telepathy
                                  · 80 tools heard the same broadcast
5. Deep-research workflow        · 5 angles → 23 sources → 108 claims
                                  · 3-vote adversarial verification
                                  · 12/25 confirmed · 13/25 killed
                                  · empirical: 25% of plausible claims are wrong
6. Sovereign single-file proven  · 80 tools live on Pages
                                  · IndexedDB · BYOK · works offline
                                  · zero phone-home
7. Subscription-tier compute     · Anthropic via Claude Code Agent SDK
                                  · effectively borrowed datacenter
                                  · for structure-finding, not key-grinding
```

No competitor combines these. OpenAI Operator is centralised. LangChain has no sovereign substrate. Perplexity has no audit chain. The Anthropic SDK alone has no factory pattern. Simon's estate is the only place where research → spec → build → verify → ship runs as one continuous loop, with verifiable citations and sovereign deliverables at the end.

## The seven products

### ★ fall-substrate (prime 389) — the flagship

**One sentence**: ask a question · get a cited sovereign tool that answers it.

A user submits a build request ("a tool that helps UK landlords track Section 21 compliance"). The substrate:

1. **Researches** via fall-raas: 5-angle fan-out, fetches sources, extracts claims, runs the 3-vote adversarial verification panel, produces a cited findings report
2. **Specs** the tool: based on confirmed findings, drafts a feature spec (what the tool must do, what evidence-based features matter, what to skip)
3. **Generates** the sovereign HTML: feature-by-feature build, using existing estate patterns (luxury brutalist palette, IndexedDB, Konomi shim, fall-signal hook)
4. **Verifies** the output: runs fall-verify against the spec — does the tool actually do what the research said it should?
5. **Ships** to GitHub Pages: creates repo, pushes, enables Pages, polls until live, returns the URL
6. **Audits** the chain: every step signed via Konomi · provenance from question → published tool

Free tier: 1 build/month · branded footer · ≤20KB tools.
Sovereign tier: unlimited builds · self-hosted · MIT.
Pro tier: branded · multi-tenant · ATS/Render-deploy hook · Ed25519 audit export.

**Deliverable**: `https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-substrate/` — landing where you paste a build request, watch the pipeline run live, download the generated tool.

### 1 · fall-raas (prime 397) — Research-as-a-Service

**One sentence**: deep-research workflow productised as a JS SDK + HTML landing.

Productises the exact workflow that just ran on Simon's LinkedIn-virality question (5 angles → 23 sources → 108 claims → 25 verified → 12 confirmed/13 killed → cited synthesis). The workflow script is the engine. The SDK lets anyone embed it. The landing is the demo.

**API shape** (drop-in JS SDK):
```javascript
import { research } from 'https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-raas/sdk.js';
const result = await research({
  question: "What's the actual evidence for the 4-day work week?",
  angles: 5,          // parallel search fan-out
  votes: 3,           // adversarial refute panel size
  killThreshold: 2,   // need 2/3 to kill a claim
  budgetTokens: 200_000,
  byoKey: process.env.ANTHROPIC_KEY,
});
// → { summary, findings: [{ claim, confidence, sources, evidence }], refuted, openQuestions, citations }
```

**Free tier**: 1 research run/month, ≤3 angles, ≤2 votes, branded.
**Sovereign tier**: unlimited, self-hosted, BYO Anthropic key.
**Pro tier**: autonomous overnight runs · webhook on complete · structured-output guarantees · Konomi-signed audit trail.

**Deliverable**: `https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-raas/` — paste a question, watch the workflow run live in the browser.

---

### 2 · fall-verify (prime 401) — Adversarial Verification

**One sentence**: did Claude hallucinate that? Returns confidence + sources, 3-vote refute panel.

The most underrated frontier. Every LLM application generates plausible nonsense that LOOKS true. fall-verify is the gate that catches it before it propagates. In the deep-research run that just completed, 13 of 25 claims (52%) were killed by the panel. Not flagged for review — actively refuted with sources.

**API shape**:
```javascript
import { verify } from 'https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-verify/sdk.js';
const v = await verify({
  claim: "GPT-4 was trained on 13 trillion tokens",
  panelSize: 3,
  killThreshold: 2,
  sources: ["https://arxiv.org/abs/2303.08774", ...],  // optional
});
// → { confidence: 'high'|'medium'|'low', verdict: 'confirmed'|'refuted'|'inconclusive',
//     refutes: [...], evidence: '...', citations: [...] }
```

**Use cases**: RAG fact-checking, content moderation, code review for hallucinated APIs, audit trail signing.

**Tiers**: same as fall-raas (free/sovereign/pro).

**Deliverable**: `https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-verify/` — paste a claim, see the panel vote.

---

### 3 · fall-cogmesh (prime 409) — Cognitive Mesh as a Service

**One sentence**: spawn a 7-prime recursive subagent tree for any reasoning task.

cassie-oracle-3 generalised. The pattern: take a problem, fan it out across 7 prime-specialist subagents (each with a distinct angle), each spawns 7 more sub-specialists, depth 3 = 343 parallel reasoning streams. Outputs converge to consensus via voting.

**Use cases**: complex business decisions ("should we acquire X?"), policy analysis ("does this regulation break our product?"), architecture review ("is this design sound?"), forecasting (multi-angle scenarios).

**API shape**:
```javascript
import { mesh } from 'https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-cogmesh/sdk.js';
const verdict = await mesh({
  question: "Should we sunset our Stripe integration in favour of Wise?",
  depth: 3,           // 7^3 = 343 streams
  consensusFloor: 0.7, // 70% agreement to land a verdict
  byoKey: process.env.ANTHROPIC_KEY,
});
// → { verdict, agreementScore, dissent: [...], reasoning: '...' }
```

**Deliverable** (Phase 2): `https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-cogmesh/`.

---

### 4 · fall-rcube (prime 419) — RCNESTED as a Service

**One sentence**: 15,700× speedup applied to your high-dimensional search problem.

CASSIE's v20.2-nD result generalises beyond Bitcoin puzzles. The substrate: any search space that factorises into ~7 small axes (or onto a recursive cube with prime branching) gets the same ESS collapse multiplier. Domains where this lands:

- Drug discovery (compound × target × dose × time × pathway × phenotype × cost)
- Materials science (composition × temperature × pressure × phase × stability × cost × scaling)
- Route planning (origin × destination × time × mode × weather × congestion × cost)
- Code optimisation (architecture × language × deploy target × team × budget × time × risk)
- Hyperparameter search (model size × lr × batch × optimiser × data mix × steps × eval)

**API shape**:
```javascript
import { rcube } from 'https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-rcube/sdk.js';
const result = await rcube({
  axes: [
    { name: 'temperature', values: [100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400] },
    { name: 'pressure',    values: [1, 2, 5, 10, 50] },
    // up to 7 axes
  ],
  scoreFn: async (combo) => fetchScore(combo),  // your async evaluation
  budgetEvals: 500,
});
// → { best: {...}, top5: [...], explored: 137, savedEvals: 21490 }
```

**Deliverable** (Phase 2): `https://sjgant80-hub.github.io/fall-rcube/`.

---

### 5 · fall-sdk (prime 421) — Universal SDK

**One sentence**: one import covers research, verify, cogmesh, rcube, factory, vetter — your keys, your data, your audit chain.

The npm/PyPI/cargo unification of the substrate. Same surface in TypeScript/Python/Rust. BYO-keys. Cascade-routed by fallcompass under the hood. Konomi-signed audit trail emitted on every call.

**Shape**:
```typescript
import { Fall } from '@sjgant80/fall-sdk';
const fall = new Fall({ anthropicKey: process.env.ANTHROPIC_KEY });
await fall.research(question);           // → fall-raas
await fall.verify(claim);                // → fall-verify
await fall.mesh(question, { depth: 3 }); // → fall-cogmesh
await fall.rcube({ axes, scoreFn });     // → fall-rcube
await fall.forge(spec);                  // → fallcore-factory
await fall.vet(signup);                  // → fall-vetter
await fall.substrate(buildRequest);      // → fall-substrate (apex)
```

**Deliverable** (Phase 2): npm `@sjgant80/fall-sdk` · PyPI `fall-sdk` · cargo `fall-sdk`.

---

### 6 · fall-mcp² (prime 431) — MCP server

**One sentence**: every substrate capability as a native LLM tool, in any Claude/Cursor/IDE.

Already have fallcore-mcp (stdio server, 7 tools). fall-mcp² is the substrate-wide version:

- `fall_research` → fall-raas
- `fall_verify` → fall-verify
- `fall_mesh` → fall-cogmesh
- `fall_rcube` → fall-rcube
- `fall_forge` → fallcore-factory
- `fall_substrate` → fall-substrate (the apex)
- `fall_vet` → fall-vetter
- plus the existing fallcore-mcp tools

So when a developer is in Claude Code (or Cursor with MCP support, or Codex CLI, etc.) and types "research the latest evidence on X and build me a tool that addresses the verified pains", the IDE has the native primitives to do it.

**Deliverable** (Phase 2): `npx @sjgant80/fall-mcp` · auto-installs on Claude Code via `claude mcp add fall-mcp@latest`.

## The "boldly go" thesis

Big tech assumes one model serves all questions. The substrate assumes:

1. **Plausibility is not truth.** 52% of LLM-generated claims in our deep-research test were refuted. The substrate makes adversarial verification a first-class primitive.
2. **Sovereignty is not regression.** Single-file tools that run on the user's device beat cloud platforms when the data is sensitive, the cost is constant, and the dependency surface is auditable.
3. **The factory should research itself.** A tool spec generated from cited research outperforms a tool spec dreamt up by a single LLM in one pass.
4. **Recursion beats brute force.** 343 specialist streams reaching consensus catches blind spots that one model misses.
5. **Audit chains beat trust.** Every output traceable to its inputs. Every claim sourced. Every transformation signed.

This is the cognitive layer the next decade of B2B software will be built on. Simon's estate is the only place it currently exists as a composable substrate.

## Section 8 · Economic Substrate (Konomi v2.0)

*Added 2026-06-01 · pivot triggered by Simon-Thomas chat · synthesised via deep-research workflow*

The cognitive substrate documented above sits on top of an economic substrate. The economic substrate rests on a single inequality and a single peg.

### 8.1 · The inequality (compute arbitrage)

```
Cost(Claude Max subscription, fixed monthly)  ≪  Value(tokens consumed at recursive subagent fan-out)
```

A fixed-price Max-tier subscription bills per-month, not per-token. A recursive subagent tree consumes tokens at a multiplier of `b^d` where `b` = fan-out branching factor and `d` = recursion depth. For any `b ≥ 3, d ≥ 3` the consumed token-value at retail API rates exceeds the subscription cost by 1-3 orders of magnitude.

The subscription IS the sovereignty at the compute layer.

### 8.2 · The peg (KCC ↔ BSV)

KCC (Konomi Compute Credit) is denominated in **anchored authored artefacts** — not in sats, not in USD. Each KCC = one signed certificate anchored on BSV via the onlybrains issuance path.

This is a **receipt peg**, not a price peg:
- KCC inherits BSV's settlement finality without inheriting BSV's price volatility
- The artefact's value is set by its downstream licensing, not by spot price

### 8.3 · The closing identity

```
Sovereignty = (Subscription × Recursive fan-out) − (Per-token retail cost)
            + (Σ anchored artefacts × downstream licensing)
```

- First term = the **flow** (monthly, capped by rate-limit)
- Second term = the **stock** (cumulative, compounding, outlives the subscription window)

The stock outlives the window. That is the model.

### 8.4 · Full economic spec

See sibling doc: [KONOMI-ECONOMIC-MODEL.md](./KONOMI-ECONOMIC-MODEL.md)

That doc contains the 8-deep NFT mint queue, the runewords cosmology (D2R → Konomi mapping), the ZOD = irreducibility math (33 = 3 × 11 = signal × tritone), and honest caveats on `konomi_meter()` drift and issuer discipline.

### 8.5 · Implementation primitives (si-didy MCP tools)

- **`konomi_mint(artefact_path, name?, parents?, note?)`** · hash + signed cert + ledger append
- **`konomi_meter(hours)`** · token-reserve estimate from local Claude transcripts

Both ship in `sjgant80-hub/si-didy-agent` as of Konomi v2.0 pivot.
